Forum LautanIndonesia.com adalah salah satu forum terlengkap di Indonesia. Berbagai macam topic pembicaraan ada disini, mulai dari entertainment, olahraga, news dan lain-lain. Tentu saja topik American Idol menjadi salah satu topik terhangat tiap tahunnya.
Berbicara tentang American Idol tidak lepas dari para finalisnya. Tahun ini para finalis American Idol season 7 cukup mencuri perhatian.
Salah satu yang mendapat perhatian ekstra adalah runner-up David Archuleta. Melihat demikian tingginya antusiasme warga forum lautanindonesia.com pada runner-up berwajah innoncent ini akhirnya pada tanggal 12 Maret 2008 disepakati untuk dibuka thread khusus David Archuleta.
Segala topik tentang David dibicarakan di sana. Threat itu sangat diminati bahkan dalam waktu 5 bulan telah mencapai 1300-an halaman dan masuk dalam jajaran top ten thread dengan reply terbanyak di forum Lautanindonesia.com
Dengan up-date kegiatan yang beraneka ragam seperti : posting berita, foto dan video, mengikuti polling yang diadakan di berbagai website, dan berbagai kegiatan lainnya fans David Archuleta di Indonesia menunjukkan semangat yang tidak kalah dengan fans David Archuleta di seluruh dunia.
Komunitas ini pernah mengirimkan surat kepada David melalui Project David is my hero by Linha yg telah diterima David pada saat homecoming American Idol.
Lebih jauh pada pertengahan Juli, atas kesepakatan bersama warga threat David Archuleta mengirim paket hadiah kepada David dan keluarga melalui bantuan Mr. Dean Kaelin. Dengan perjuangan yang cukup berat syukurlah hadiah tersebut telah sampai ke tangan David pada tanggal 15 Juli 2008.
Hadiah yang berupa barang-barang khas Indonesia seperti: Batik, kerajinan tangan, buku, dan banyak lagi dikirimkan dengan harapan David Archuleta mengetahui betapa banyak fansnya di Indonesia dan sekaligus memperkenalkan Indonesia secara lebih mendalam.
Akhirnya akhir Juli 2008 komunitas ini memutuskan untuk membuat sebuah web mandiri yaitu davidarchuletaindonesia.com. Web ini adalah rumah bagi semua fans David Archuleta di Indonesia dan mengundang siapa saja untuk bergabung. Bersama fans lainnya di seluruh dunia davidarchuletaindonesia.com akan mendukung karier David di dunia musik!

The Lautan Indonesia Forum is one of the biggest forum community in Indonesia. It provides a wide range of topics of discussion from entertainment, news to even sports. It is unquestionable that topics revolving around the hit TV show, American Idol has always been the hottest buzz among the members in this forum which include topics on the finalists themselves.
This year, American Idol Season 7 had showcased a breathtaking group of talents which had indubitably stolen many hearts away. One of which is the 17 years old runner-up, David Archuleta. Apparently, a great amount of support was displayed by the members towards the young Utah sweetheart and thus, a decision to open a new thread was made to allow the members to discuss on news and show their support to their subject of admiration, the prodigious young talent, David Archuleta. Therefore, on March 12th 2008, the David Archuleta thread was officially opened.
The thread was seen to have caught the interests of many – showing a very promising respond by the members and within 5 months, the thread had successfully reached an incredible 1300 pages of replies.
This had made the David Archuleta thread to be stamped as one of the hotspots in the Lautan Indonesia forum.
With the frequent updates like posting of news, pictures, videos and tons of polling from external websites, the Indonesia Arch Angels (IAA) has shown just as much support as the rest of David’s fans from all the various parts of the globe.
In fact, the IAA in this community were once involved in the “Projek David is my Hero” by Linha where a book consisting of letters of appreciation was presented to David himself during the American Idol Top 3 Homecoming period.
In mid-July,we, the IAA came up with a plan to send David a package of gifts for his family and the boy himself. It was titled “Projek Batik”. The gift consisted of traditional handy crafts, books and certainly Batik clothing. Our main purpose was to express our admiration and support towards him, but asiding from that we had hoped the IAA would earn some recognition from our young idol as well as to introduce our culture at a greater depth.
The IAA in the David Archuleta thread has grown some familiarity towards each other over the course of time and thought that building our very own home site would be a superb idea. Thus, we put our plans at heart and by the end of July, our home site – www.davidarchuletaindonesia.com was officially activated. This web site serves as a place where the IAA could gather together and update one another with the latest news on their favourite boy;on all-things David Archuleta. With the same aim with all the other Arch Angels, we are here to drive David climb his way up to the peak and reach for the greater success in his music career.
In a nutshell, Indonesia LOVES DAVID ARCHULETA!
