Ngga terasa udah di bulan penghujung di taon 2009. Udah banyak peristiwa dalam setahun ini, termasuk dalam dunia permusikan. Dalam taon 2008 – 2009 banyak sekali artis baru dan talenta yang muncul dan tidak terkecuali David sendiri membuat sejarah buat dirinya dan fansnya, dengan meluncurkan album perdananya dengan judul sesuai namanya. Album yang ditunggu fansnya tersebut berhasil menduduki posisi no.2 di Billboard 200 yaitu chart untuk mengukur prestasi penjualan album di US. Sungguh prestasi yang luar biasa bagi pendatang baru seperti David dan tercatat sejarah salah satu alumni American Idol yang berhasil menduduki top ten billboard di album perdana. Wow! Di penghujung taon ini jg secara keseluruhan prestasi tsb diabadikan dalam best of 2009 billboard 200 dan menduduki posisi #59.

Bahkan di dalam album tersebut terdapat single “Crush” yang cukup fenomenal. Single dengan lirik sederhana,namun “catchy”,serta merta menjadi favorit bagi fansnya (mungkin jg non-fans ) dinyanyikan,didengerkan oleh tua muda bahkan nenek kakek sekalipun. Dan kembali lagi menorehkan sejarah dengan masuk Billboard Hot 100 di no.2. Begitu juga penjualan di dunia maya,krn berhasil menembus lebih dari 1,8 juta download resmi! dan kembali buat gebrakan menjadi no.1 di Billboard digital songs chart! Wow! Jg video klip single tersebut pernah juga disaksikan lebih dr 20 juta pengunjung di situs YouTube dari seluruh dunia, dlm kurun waktu taon 2008 – 2009.

Second “Glee” Soundtrack Hits Stores In December

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – “Glee: The Music, Volume 1,” the official soundtrack to the hit Fox show, just hit No.4 on the Billboard Albums Chart and sold over 100,000 copies in its first week. A second volume is already on the way.

The first soundtrack featured music from early in the show’s season, including their smash cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Kanye West’s “Gold Digger,” and Kristin Chenoweth’s soaring cover of Heart’s “Alone.”

The show’s second soundtrack features covers of artists like The Pretenders, John Lennon, and Kelly Clarkson. They also perform covers of the “Dreamgirls” number “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” the Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” and even David Archuleta’s recent radio hit “Crush.”

“Glee” has already sold over 2.5 million digital singles. The first to be released, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” hit #1 on iTunes.

“Glee: The Music, Volume 2,” the second compilation of “Glee” tracks, hits stores December 8th. The show’s first volume on DVD hits stores later in the month on December 29th.
