David Archuleta shines his way through ‘Touch My Hand’ on ‘American Idol’

David Archuleta performs “Touch My Hand” in his return to “American Idol,” comes out with that big grin, and a great tone as he launches into the song.

He’s a little flat vocally I think; the song’s sedate at the start, but starts to take off in the chorus. His voice loosens up too; he’s just enjoyable to listen to, and it makes you smile to see how happy he is singing up there.

Ryan chats him up, David’s off to the UK tomorrow, is out of breath as always. He gives Allison a big hug and shakes Anoop’s hand. Tells them they both have awesome voices, and you don’t have to win the show to live your dream.

He’s really a nice guy; kind of funny to hear him giving career advice, but he’s come a long way in just a year.

As for David Archuleta, beyond a shadow of a doubt he was the best performer they’ve had on stage so far this season. I thought “Touch My Hand” was a very appropriate song choice as well. He’s done truly amazing since his time on Idol, and he proved to me once again tonight (sorry if you disagree) that America got it so very wrong last season! I do look forward to Jordin Sparks as well, MCL!

David performed his third single, the infectious Touch My Hand and sent the audience into a swooning frenzy. Archie stepped up his stage presence x50! No surprise with the vocals, darn near perfect as always.

Archuperfect also gave the bottom two contestants some great advice and briefly talked about his tour with our other favorite youngster Demi Lovato before leaving the Idol stage.

FOD has learned from a very reliable source that David Archuleta’s next single will be A Little Too Not Over You!  This news was released to FOD just a few minutes ago.

Jive decided last night to switch the next released single from Touch My Hand to A Little Too Not Over You.

David is currently working with Jeff and others to conceptualize the video for ALTNOY! The video for Touch My Hand was all planned out, so the team is very busy switching gears right now.

Jika memang ALTNOY menjadi single kedua, itu juga merupakan keputusan yang bagus dari JIve. Sewaktu rilis album kemarin, ALTNOY menjadi lagu kedua yang paling banyak di download di iTunes setelah Crush. Mungkin ini juga jadi pertimbangan bagi pihak label dengan melihat respon pendengar terhadap single tersebut.

Complete Idol Billboard Chart

David Archuleta akan merilis single pertama dari album perdananya yaitu pada tanggal 12 Agustus ini. Single yang diberi judul Crush ini pertama kali diputar di acara The Morning Show with Elvis Duran di Radio Z100 New York pada tanggal 1 Agustus kemarin.
